About the Museum of Ice Cream
The Museum of Ice Cream is a Figure8 brand that transforms concepts and dreams into spaces that provoke imagination and creativity. MOIC is designed to be a culturally inclusive environment and community, inspiring human connection and imagination through the universal power of ice cream.
Problem
The Museum of Ice Cream lacks a navigation system, making it hard for people to know where they are going or what they are looking at. In addition, each exhibit lacks any descriptions or inspirations of how these pieces came to be. It creates a disconnect between the viewer and the exhibit, not releasing its true potential. Along with the coronavirus pandemic precautions, some are afraid to interact or eat anything in the museum.
Solution
An application that users can download to enhance their experience. The app will enhance the idea of bringing the dream alive. It will also help users navigate through the museum better and tell them more about what they’re looking at. The app will make covid precautions easier as well.
Case Study Video
Site Map
User Flows
Low Fidelity Wireframes
Augmented Reality Camera
Make the dream of the exhibit a reality using a filter. The camera can detect which section of the museum you are in and give you a selection of filters accordingly, making your photos a bit more fun!
The Scoop
Browse other people’s photos posted in The Scoop. You can post your own photos when you take pictures with the camera.
Interactive Map & Digital Tour
Navigate through the museum with ease using the interactive map. Tap on an exhibit to read more about it. You can also have the app read a piece’s description for you.
Order Up!
At the end of your visit, the app will choose an ice cream for you to receive at the ice cream bar based on your photos and tour route.
If you’re not satisfied with your given flavor, you can customize your own to receive instead.
